Welcome to Alder Manor!
Alder Manor is a semi-rural, peaceful neighborhood in San Carlos situated just below Alameda De Las Pulgas. Most of this neighborhood is on hilly terrain and boasts some of the finest canyon and bay views. Though the quaint San Carlos downtown is slightly further away, homes tend to be more modern and grander in Alder Manor – a fact that sets it apart from the other neighborhoods in the city.
Generally speaking, homes are usually no more than 40 years old. Architectural styles range from traditional, Mediterranean, and ranchers with some of the most remarkable homes in all of San Carlos found on the stretch adjacent to Eaton Avenue. The expansive lots of Alder Manor attract many residents wishing to build their own homes, benefitting the aesthetic diversity of the neighborhood (regardless of construction). Alder Manor was developed around Eaton Park, 57 acres of undeveloped land just touching Brittan Avenue. The park has an incredible range of flora and fauna and provides the perfect setting for a daily run or dog walk.
Regrettably, Alder Manor is often overlooked (particularly by families) because the majority of it is not included in the San Carlos School District. Nevertheless, with its beautiful views, diverse style, and easy access to Highway 280, Alder Manor remains a wonderful place to live.
